SO, I've come to realize in the last couple of days, that these shoes really symbolize my freedom to be who I want to be. Sometimes being who you are isn't practical, it isn't necessarily popular and it isn't always comfortable. But it makes you happy.
I'm still practicing with these puppies near soft padded surfaces. I haven't ventured outside of the apartment with them yet.

shoe update?
Hey! What's the status of the shoes and your "new" look?!? And where are those pictures?!?
Shoe update
The shoes have not yet left the building. I've been going out so much that I haven't had time to practice them. I've been nearly religous about wearing my new lavender and sky blue corderoy pants, but am still working out the dresses/skirts over pants thing. I don't think my look is as badass as I thought it was intentionally, but the confindence that came with it is still lingering, which is good. I need to get my act together and/or more space on my harddrive to post all of the pictures for you all. I think that I've got pictures way back from April (the netherlands trip) waiting to be posted. Someday my friends, Someday....
I cannot WAIT to get back to the states where thrift shops are cheap, as God intended them. Here they're trendy and somewhat expensive, ie €12 for a pair of pants as opposed to $0.50 at Goodwill. Jessica and I have possible plans to hit the thirft stores in Bettendort, the place where I got two fab fur coats both for under $10. I'm assuming the rest of their loot will be good as well.

So I cut my hair again. HairKillerz. Worked out very very well. Except the woman did NOT want to do what I wanted. I asked for it short in the back, and longer in the front, with one hunk near my ears left the same length as it was to start with. She asked what I wanted.. asked again. Went and got a book with a nice and normal bob, asked if that's what I wanted. I told her I wanted that, but crazier and more wild. She said okay and took me to shampoo. We came back from the wash station, she asked me again what I wanted and again showed me the picture. I explained in German and in English and she began cutting. Soon I had a nice normal bob. I explained then that I wanted the back much shorted and the front the same. She got a very worried and complexed look on her face and said, "Aber es gibt keine Verbindung" basicially ,"but it won't blend" I assured her that it was okay and that she should keep cutting. The worried perlexed look remained on her face.
I think she was happy with the final result. Especially when it was wet. I opted to dry and style it myself. She advised me to slick down the front and was once again dismayed when I crunched it all in to messy crazy waves.
I tipped her well for the ulcer that I probably started. I love the cut. It's so easy to care for and not so darn hot.
European cut...
With a name like Hair Killer, you'd think that they'd be open to crazy Euro cuts like that! Isn't Germany where the a-cut started!?!
WoW! Them are some shoes!
I've never seen anything like those in my life! I hope you find all the freedom you are seeking. You should be able to find it especially if it is hiding someplace up high! Please be careful! They look like a broken leg / twisted ankle waiting to happen!
Yes
These are great. I also forsee a broken bone, but hopefully with enough practice, I'll be able to wear them without doing harm to myself, or any more dressing rooms.
StinK!
Those are honkin' HUGE. Be careful. Mom had a fondness for wicked highheels too!! Go girL! Go SLOW!
your shoes are great
And I love the symbolism behind them!
