Freakishly Happy

Hello All,

This past weekend I spent a day bringing the site back to life.  All of the software that runs the site is patched and up to date (security holes...), all of the previous spam is hopefully removed and the spammers banned, and all of the previous posts that had failing images are fixed.  If you find any spam or anything that is broken, please let me know so I can get it removed and/or fixed.

In most of the previous posts, the image was stored in the wrong location and it was as easy as moving its reference.  However, In a few of the previous posts, the actual post had to be edited to fix the link to the image.  For these posts, they may show up as unread and if you have a registered user, you may have to read them again if you follow "Unread / Updated" block on the upper right.

After our last post (a year and a half ago) we spent some time in Thailand and Japan, followed by wintering in Vermont in an apartment.  2009 was a year of agriculture (farming / canning / gleaning / fermenting / etc...), and we moved back into the bus in June of that year.  It is now new the end of May 2010, and we are working hard at getting the bus (2.0) put together for traveling this year.

A lot of people here and in Iowa have been asking when we are going to be driving again, so I thought I'd revive the site as a means of communicating what we are working on and how close we feel we are to leaving.  We want to be in Iowa on the 28th of June for a wonderful friend of ours and her wedding.  If we feel the bus isn't ready by then, we'll take a car out.

As for what happened over the past year and a half.  There may be some updates for those but it's hard to play catch up when you're so busy, so for now, just plan on receiving new updates / new information and we'll hopefully fill some of the holes as we go along.
