This particular bus is a forward control / forward engine bus. You can see the engine hood right there inside the door. The stairs curve immediately to the left instead of going up then in.
Although it is in front, instead of a rear-pusher, the engine noise is a lot quieter because of the added insulation. Our engine is an especially quiet engine as well.
Also foward control / flat nose busses ride a little bit better and have more maneuverability than a convental (non-flat nose) bus.
Plus! You can get at the engine, check the fluids, etc... while you're still inside. No need to get wet in the rain or walk around to the back to get at it.
