So, today as I was packing I started thinking about what I should do with my fur coats. It seems a pretty inconsistent to be a veggier-than-thou vegetarian and have more than a few vintage fur coats.
So iI pondered this for a few moments and began to feel a little disheartened when into my head popped an article I'd read the other day. The article said that there were programs out there where you could donate your furs for goo causes such as donating them to homeless people so that they could stay warm. Then I thought about it some more and realized that in a little less than a month I'm going to be homeless- so I decided to keep my furs in good conscience.

Good decision!
Hey, you're one of the most earth-friendly people I know. I think you deserve the coats you've collected, especially considering that you DO only buy vintage furs.
Vintage vs New
It is my opinion, that if you buy a fur coat that is 30 years old or a second hand fur coat you are not promoting the industry. The animals are "long time gone." And you are "recycling" the materials. Given your love for the coat, you too are "celebrating" in this animal's death instead of causing it. I'd say that vintage is a very good thing to do.
